- 6 Tbsps margarine or butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 cups whole wheat pastry flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 3/4 cup chocolate chip mini
- 3/4 cup ground flax seed
Preheat oven to 350F. In a large bowl, cream shortening and sugars. Add vanilla and beaten eggs.
In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, chocolate chips and ground flax seed. Add to creamed mixture.
Drop by teaspoonful onto a cookie sheet leaving 2 inches between cookies.
Bake 350F for 10 to 12 minutes, until golden. If making bars, bake 350F for 15 to 16 minutes. remove from sheet and cool.
